Using a custom built "dub station" as the foundation for their sound, Gold Cobra re-mixes original music on the fly, incorporating spring reverb blasts, echo twists and mixing-desk mutes to create spontaneous dub music. Gold Cobra is comprised of partners Clay Morrow and Mark "Scooter" Chamness, who in 2001 founded 7" label Club Records (along with collaborators Dan Boer and Zak Pike of Slow Bullets, who also release music on the label). Club Records gives Gold Cobra complete freedom over all musical elements in its recordings, resulting in dub music that is unique in both sound and substance.
